TITLE: manager of client services- onsite
nON-EXEMPT
JOB DESCRIPTION: In cooperation with the Information and Assistance and Case Management Programs, provides information, makes referrals, assists in locating services, provides case management and suggests alternative resources to assure adequate service delivery to elderly clients. Supervises staff to include onboarding and training, managing schedules, overseeing work performed, and reviewing and approving time off requests.
JOB DETAIL: Responds to requests for information, makes appropriate referrals to other community resources, informs about services available to seniors and suggests alternative ways of solving problems as part of resource management and case management;
Plans and schedules visits to elderly citizens for the purpose of providing resource management and case management with special effort directed toward preserving their independence in the home environment;
Provides growth focused solutions to scale services in accordance with new contracts, increases in client caseload, and the diversification and expansion of existing services
Provides support and expertise in the creation of processes and systems to grow existing programs and launch new ones, whenever applicable;
Coordinates services and provides informal advocacy in support of seniors, cooperates with community service organizations in the interest of securing maximum benefits for elderly clients;
Conducts outreach and operations within Santa Cruz County and surrounding counties to publicize availability of services for older people and to determine any gaps in existing service delivery;
Keeps required records and performs other clerical tasks as needed;
Assists in training new personnel and works in cooperation with the Information and Assistance Program.
Communicates concerns about client service quality and continuity to direct supervisor and offers proactive solutions whenever possible.
Provides individual and group performance feedback and coaching for the betterment of work product and project outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree with experience in social services; experience with older adult populations is preferred
Knowledge of available senior services and case management, including community services and public benefits;
Sensitivity to the needs of elderly clients, ability to communicate clearly and to create an atmosphere of trust;
Willingness and ability to work both independently and interdependently in a team situation with a minimum of supervision;
Physical stamina as required for standing, walking and climbing stairs while meeting with clients in their homes.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER
REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required; excellent computer skills; valid driver’s license and fully insured vehicle necessary.
Fingerprinting and background check required.
HOURS/
BENEFITS: 40 hours per week;
Vacation, holiday and sick leave provided.
Medical, dental and vision insurance benefits if employed at least 30 hours per week.
COMPENSATION: $29.00 - $31.00 Per hour
