Job description
The Box Office Manager directs and oversees all aspects of the daily operation of the box office, providing unsurpassed customer and guest service. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing, staff management and customer service
Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support box office staff in any of their job functions, as needed
  • Facilitate open communication with supervisors and staff
  • Manage communication and support with event promoters, event staff and building management
  • Coordinate event information between promoter, facility personnel and the ticket company, including pricing, seating configurations, and holds.
  • Balance and reconcile all ticket seller cash drawers and paperwork daily
  • Create, modify, and maintain inventories for all ticketed events in a computerized ticketing environment
  • Organize department and financial information for internal and external meetings as required
  • Respond to guest inquiries while providing exceptional guest service
  • Participate in Marketing meetings by giving pricing and offer recommendations
  • Programs and maintains all events in ticketing system and works with IT to insure system is maintained within Ticketmaster specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as directed
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of box office/ticketing related experience including building events and supervisory experience
  • Skills and working knowledge of computerized ticketing operations and software (Ticketmaster systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), guest relations & phone etiquette, long term immediate decision making, verbal / written communication, accounting / cash management procedures
  • Ability to provide leadership, engage in positive interaction with staff and guest, prioritize, organize, motivate staff, problem solve, delegate, follow-up
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
Preferred:
  • 4-year degree in business administration or related field

  • Work is performed in a casino / hotel setting.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • May be exposed to smoke
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
