Title: Male House Manager

Department: Housing

Reports to: Director of Operations

OVERVIEW

The Sober House Manager is a house manager who helps residents identify and achieve their goals and meet their needs through being the staff/resident liaison. In addition to acting as a safety observer for both the clients and the house. This is a highly responsible position overseeing the maintenance of the house, providing transportation for residents and assists residents in a supportive manner to follow house rules and seek assistance from the clinical or administrative staff to help the client achieve their goals. This position will run in 3 shifts so there is 24/7 coverage of the house and/or apartment complex. This position may require additional shift work in the event of an emergency or disaster.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate driving; drive residents to and from the house to office for Group.

2. Monitor clients at house when on shift.

3. All shifts personnel must write a Shift Report concerning Sober House Roster, Sober House Contact Roster and Sober House Meeting Minutes and any significant issues that occurred during their shift.

4. Random client room inspections with an e-mail report sent to the Operations Director and clinical team. Report should include but not limited to the following resident room condition, facility supplies needed, sign-in sheet utilization. Standards not being met that are identified need to be specific to include resident responsible. Date of inspections, time of inspections are required to be included in report.

5. The position requires that the Manager will check the house for client safety, infection control issues and report any potential health or safety issues to the Medial staff and/or Maintenance staff immediately.

6. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

7. Ensure integrity of the sober living program to include ‘contract’ and phase compliance. Being aware of the treatment status of ALL residents in their charge.

8. Vehicle maintenance: (The following statement will ONLY apply if Denver Recovery Center provides house manager with a vehicle).

a. This includes all vehicles owned by Denver Recovery Center.

c. Cleanliness of vehicles needs to be maintained.

d. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ideally should have at least 6 months clean and sober. If disclosing that they are in recovery.

2. Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

3. Maintains current certifications for this position:

a. CPR/FIRST AID

4. Must be able to assist clients up to 300 lbs. entering and exiting the vehicle.

5. Must be aware of all operations and basic safety/preventive issues of a vehicle to assure client safety.

Requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
