Job description
Perform a variety of tasks related to facilities/maintenance.
May perform the following duties depending on assigned function:
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild all laboratory equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
- Perform facility repairs, and complete work orders using maintenance software,
- Add P.M. (preventative maintenance) orders
- Identify new machinery
- Update equipment records
- Schedule preventative maintenance
- Order and stock parts and supplies
May perform lead duties in any of the above functions
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Minimum one year experience in optical equipment maintenance
Minimum two years of experience in factory equipment maintenance
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet department standards for productivity and quality
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, and pulling/pushing
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time
