Super8 by Wyndham is currently hiring a Hotel Maintenance Technician at its Mahwah, New Jersey, location. This role requires a candidate who exhibits good judgment and is proactive, efficient, and friendly. Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC units, electrical systems, and plumbing is necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities Include (But Aren’t Limited To):

• Handling emergency repairs
• Painting
• Installing carpeting
• Mending broken furniture
• Putting together new furniture
• Maintaining activity logs
• Replacing damaged outlets
• Keeping lighting in working order
• Overseeing renovation projects
• Installing doors and repairing locks
• Plunging toilets and unclogging drains
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Repairing and maintaining washers and dryers
• Recognizing safety risks and making the appropriate repairs
• Cleaning and sweeping outdoor areas, including the parking lot
• Making general repairs to guest rooms and public spaces (as needed)
• Performing other duties when requested

Requirements:

• Adhere to safety guidelines and policies
• Commit to a full-time schedule
• Be on call in the rare case of an after-hours emergency
• Maintain confidentiality of guests and fellow employees
• Be able to lift, carry, and push 80+ pounds
• Have a valid and current driver’s license
• Have 1+ years of maintenance experience (preferably in a hotel setting)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
