Location: Elk Grove Village, IL (Chicago)
Compensation: Starting hourly $23-$27/hr + overtime opportunities + bonuses ˜ 1st year $67K+
Shift or Travel: Monday - Friday 1st 0500-1400 or 2nd 1400-2300 (First 3-4 months will be swing shift 1000-1800, 1st shift includes some rotating Saturdays)

Position Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production equipment in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition that complies with food safety and OSHA regulations. You will support product manufacturing by ensuring that all assigned production equipment operates efficiently, mechanically, and electrically, through repairing, altering, installing, and remanufacturing plant equipment. Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
- Perform essential machinery maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, filter changes, component replacement and repair, adjustment, tightening, and testing.
- Create, complete, and document work orders and parts requests in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Repair, maintain, assemble, dismantle and rebuild machinery.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures, diagnose problems, replace and repair, detect, and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments with senior personnel.
- Basic knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of pumps and mechanical power transmission systems (motors, bearings, gear reducers, couplings, shafts, etc.).
- A willingness to learn is greatly appreciated.
- Ability to read or willing to learn to read mechanical drawings, pneumatic and piping schematics, and to understand the production processes and how they are accomplished by plant equipment and systems.
