SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic in the HVAC Shop performs a variety of duties involving the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

· Will be assigned a variety of functions (HVAC Maintenance & Repair).

· Will perform a variety of functions.

· Must have extensive knowledge of industrial heating and cooling systems, boilers and pumps.

· Must have electrical troubleshooting knowledge.

· Installation of a variety of equipment.

· Repair of a variety of equipment.

· Maintenance of a variety of equipment.

· Ensure quality work performance.

· Ensure Project initiatives.

· Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires LP Gas certification within 6 months of hire. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.

Must have a minimum of four years’ related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.45 per hour
