Job Summary

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for routine maintenance, upkeep, cleanliness, and organization of our facilities and grounds. The Facilities Assistant also supports the Facilities Manager with facilities-related projects and operations.

Responsibilities

· Conduct routine inspections and performance of preventative maintenance for facilities and grounds

· Performing repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing lighting, minor plumbing, painting, and appliance repair

· Assisting with cleanliness of the facility such as organization and cleanliness of communal areas, picking up trash and maintaining the grounds to ensure safety and professional appearance

· Assistance with relocation of furniture and installation of new fixtures

· Assist with the set-up of new facilities and locations

· Ensuring compliance with all safety and security procedures including fire-safety, evacuation, power-outages, childproofing, child-safety, and house security mechanisms.

· Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as plumbing leaks or power outages, and coordinate with Facilities manager to solve issues.

· Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirement

· Work together with Pediatric Care Technicians, Nurses, and Back Office Staff to find any improvements to employee workflow or facilities operations.

· Escalate issues to Facilities Manager when appropriate

· Drive company vehicle to do dump runs, move supplies around and pick up necessary goods for Facilities department.

Required Skills/Abilities

· Familiarity with Office 365 Suite of products

· Familiarity with facilities operations and maintenance including but not limited to:

– Home-related repairs

– Plumbing

– Electrical

– General Construction

– Preventative Maintenance

– Landscaping

· Valid driver's license and ability to transport self to and from facilities

· Demonstrate good time management skills with flexible scheduling

· Be responsive to stressful situations and emergencies

· Demonstrate effective time and task tracking

· Exhibit a professional work ethic

Education and Experience

· Associate's degree in business, construction management or a related discipline preferred

· Two years of facilities management experience preferred

Physical Requirements

· This job requires physical travel to Nursing Evolutions Facilities.

· Facilities-related tasks require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
