Summary: Maintenance/Security is responsible for the upkeep of a facility and grounds. Able to work in a variety of areas including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Duties include inspecting buildings, inspecting and walking the grounds, troubleshooting issues, interacting with tenants and working in a team. Reliable, professional and trustworthy are our cornerstones.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Take initiative in seeing that all areas of the property are properly maintained.
- Must be hands-on and assist in completing maintenance work
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
- Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
- Assists with agency special events, as needed.
- Assist in identifying and performing preventive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure good stewardship of resources of the department
- Train others on procedures of the department to ensure the safe and proper care of the facilities assigned.
- Performs other related tasks as requested
Qualification Requirements:
- General knowledge of a variety of building systems, such as electrical, HVAC, ATC controls, piping, fire protection, roofing, etc.
- Ability to walk facilities on a routine basis in support of the inspection process and follow up to maintenance needs. Must be able to negotiate stairs, ladders and a variety of mechanical spaces
- Ability to complete some weekend and evening work required.
- Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with a variety of individuals
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Work with staff, consumers and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner
Education and/or Experience:
- High school Diploma or higher
- Preferred prior experience performing facilities related work.
Physical Requirements: Must possess: strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to climb and descend ladders, to operate a variety of tools and equipment, and to operate a motor vehicle; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and to distinguish colors in wiring; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards. Finger dexterity needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator, and to operate tools and equipment. Incumbents in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and inspect work sites. Incumbents must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds or heavier weights with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
