GBI has always maintained that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are now seeking to add to our team. We are looking for a Millwright/Machinist to join our team in the Kapolei, HI.

Job Summary
The Millwright Machinist reports to the Shop Foreman. In this role, you will perform machining & repair functions in our Kapolei repair shop.

Essential Functions

  • Install, maintain, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Using specialized tools, such as lathes, CNC, milling machines, and drill presses to machine parts on pumps, drill pipe, and straighten shafts.
  • Install new machinery.
  • Repair and replace defective machine parts.
  • Inspect, machine, mount and analyze failures of bearings, and couplings.
  • Machine parts, install, and perform alignments on pumps, pipe, and tubing.
  • Maintain machines to ensure they continue working properly.
Required Education, Experience, and Technical Knowledge

  • At least 3 years Millwright and Machinist experience required.
  • Ability to work on shafts, bearings, couplings, pumps, pipes and general items as deemed necessary.
  • Familiarity with vertical turbine pump repairs is desired.
