Overview:
Works closely with our Customer Service Team (CST), Global Finance Service, (GFS) and our Shipping area to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. A good understanding of Domestic and International shipping regulations is required for a wide variety of non- hazardous products via LTL and many Parcel carriers. The proper documentation must be created accurately and completed in a timely manner to meet both Customs and our Customers requirements.

Job Summary

The proper documentation must be created accurately and completed in a timely manner to meet both Customs and our Customers requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare documentation, including but not limited to, invoices, certificates of origin, and bills of lading for air freight, LTL, and parcel carriers.
File AES when required.
Record and determine inland freight fees.
Obtaining freight quotes.
Maintain customer documentation in an electronic and hard copy format.
Notify CST/customers of estimated dates of departure and arrival of orders.
Work closely with CST, GFS, and freight forwarders to ensure banking documentation is prepared in accordance with Letters of Credit specifications.
Stay current with various country and customer specific shipping/documentation requirements.
Coordinate shipments with carriers for air freight, parcel, and LTL shipments.
Responsible for coordinating inspections of international shipments (if applicable).
Maintain knowledge of shipping regulations.
New assignments, as identified or developed, may be added.
Complexity of Duties
Works under general supervision.
General direction given for new assignments or special projects.
Works independently and as a team member.
Must seek higher level of authorization to make invoice adjustments.
Work is reviewed weekly for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Frequent internal and external contact with customer service and freight forwarders.
Ability to prepare and analyze various shipping and invoicing documents.
Requires extensive knowledge of U.S. Export regulations and guidelines .

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
College or business school course work preferred.
One to three years related business experience preferred.

Computer skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to assign priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization.
The ability to work under pressure.
Working knowledge of DOT and U.S. Export regulations.
Basic math skills including metric equivalents
