About This Role:
The Local Food Systems Program Administrator will be responsible for directing a USDA Regional Food Systems Partnership grant to elevate and provide support to local and regional food systems across the state.
Coordinate key Kansas local and regional food system activities, including hosting monthly calls between project team partners, organize local food systems conventions, compile information on local food system projects and implement project evaluation components.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communication methods with both internal and external project partners.
Implement a marketing strategy; assist in developing promotional materials, provide training to local partners during the annual Local Food Systems Summit, create training and resources to meet the needs of local food system practitioners.
Oversee a Project Coordinator and annual report about local food system impacts and projects from the workforce development program.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to local food systems
Experience working in local and regional food systems in Kansas
Experience in working with local food growers, farmers markets, food hubs or other relevant local food system contexts
Evidence of success in project management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritize workload
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including the general public
Ability to work in diverse and changing environments
Ability to travel across Kansas
Evidence of effective ability to work and lead successful teams
Other Requirements:
