Primary responsibilities reviewing and verifying loan documents including but not limited to income, credit, and ensuring the information is complete, accurate and complies with company policies as well as meets underwriters' requirements. Other duties include entering information into our CRM, following up and communicating with both customers and loan consultants to obtain missing or updated documentation in order to process the loan file in a timely manner. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple people, multitask, work in a team environment, and manage an assigned pipeline in order to meet closing expectations
Responsibilities:
- Contact clients who have spoken to clients who now have reached the line of credit phase of the debt resolution program to explain the process and terms in detail
- Contact clients after loan consultant originates the loan file
- Requests required documents from the clients based on their current employment status for underwriting purposes
- Reviews documents to ensure they are acceptable and current
- Set up the file properly to be reviewed by Underwriting
- Request any additional documents required for approval
- Works closely with Negotiations and Payments Departments
- Audits files once the negotiation process is complete
- Reviews and sends final loan documents to clients
- Follows up with clients to answer any questions and ensure they have reviewed and sign the final loan documents in a timely manner
- Updates spreadsheets accordingly
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of Processing experience preferred
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations calmly and effectively
- Superior time management, multitasking and organizational skills; able to work under deadline constraints while completing work accurately and efficiently
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to accurately review large quantities of information and identify errors
- Good judgment with a highly developed sense of integrity and ability to consistently adhere to company and department guidelines and accurately apply policies and procedures to various situations
- Ability to thrive in a lively, team-oriented work environment, but also work well under minimal supervision
- Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done
- Technically savvy: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office programs, Intermediate computer literacy skills, quick and efficient typing skills
- Self-motivated
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
