Job Summary:
This position is located at the Milliken Live Oak Plant located in LaGrange, Ga. and reports to the Senior Production Manager. The position is responsible for leading a team of supervisors, quality facilitators, and hourly production associates and for achieving safety, productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse team of production associates:
b. Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner to meet delivery objectives
c. Ensure all associates are paid correctly
d. Ensure that written performance evaluations of supervised associates are completed as required, provide continuous feedback on personnel performance issues, and take immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems
- Ensure all associates are trained in and fully participate in the safety process
- Ensure appropriate job-related training is given to all associates and provide the necessary resources so that associates can perform their job-related duties within the ISO and MPS framework
- Work closely with Human Resources to successfully manage personnel related procedures to include:
b. Interviewing and hiring process
c. Training and cross-training plans
d. Administering disciplinary action
- Keep Location Manager informed of all situations and decisions that could impact the performance of the location
- Work closely with the Business and Plant product development groups to develop new products and processes
- Manage department variances daily to control costs
- Manage a visual work place that maintains material flow and 5S standards
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
