Job description

PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital. Provides a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner. Must meet quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Be on time

· Have excellent attendance

· Meet established hospital standards

· Follow all company safety rules

· Be able to work well with a diverse workforce

· Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor

· Follow all company policies and procedures

· Possess and maintain a positive attitude

· Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies

· Assist with supervising and training staff

· Order linen and communicate with the laundry plant in manager absence

· Be able to work past the schedule, as transportation issues may arise

· Perform any other duties as manager/supervisor sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Cross-train in other positions per facility needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Be able to stand on feet up to 8 hours a day

· Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)

· Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts

· Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling

· Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
