Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC has several full time Line Cooks opportunities in different areas of the Club including our renowned Red Fox Restaurant and in our Banquets/Catering Area. We are a privately owned and operated country club nestled inside Preston, a premier residential community. These are great opportunities to be a part of our award-winning Culinary team!

Restaurant Line Cook Positions requirements:

  • Assist the Chef with daily production of cold and hot food preparation.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques.
  • Be able to read and comprehend daily preparation sheets and food orders.
  • Have knowledge of basic knife skills, various cooking methods and the operation of basic kitchen equipment.
  • Be able to lift 10-40 pounds of boxed food and kitchen products.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a line cook preferred.
  • Shift hours are available for PM Shift (2pm-10pm) depending on customer/member needs.

Banquet Line Cook Position Requirements: -A minimum of 1 year experience in a banquet kitchen.

  • Prepare attractive platter presentations and action stations for weddings and large events.
  • Garnish and arrange serving displays for salads, vegetables, cheese and fruit trays.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • Ability to handle food preparation for large groups.
  • Able to lift 20-30 pounds safely.
  • Available to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

AM Grille Cook/Garde Manger

  • Strong knowledge of basic knife skills, use of various cooking methods, and operation of basic kitchen equipment
  • Reviews requests for banquets and follows preparation sheets accepting duties as assigned by the Oak Room Chef
  • Responsible for pulling of items from storage areas and stocking Main kitchen with ingredients specific to buffets and functions
  • Assists Oak Room Chef in set up, maintenance, and breaking down of all club lunch and private event buffets and functions
