The Whitewater Aquatic and Fitness Center (WAFC), part of the Parks and Recreation Department with the City of Whitewater, is looking for staff to provide safety and oversight for the pools at the WAFC as a Lifeguard. This position includes a membership to the WAFC.
DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Maintaining safe swimming conditions
• Ongoing surveillance of the lap and/or leisure pools, decks and surrounding areas.
• Know and understand all emergency procedures and respond to emergencies immediately.
• Consistently apply safety rules/ policies.
• Cleaning as required per COVID-19 protocols.
• Wearing required safety equipment per COVID-19 protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum age of 14*. *Ages 14 and 15 require a Work Permit.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or the ability to be certified within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to pass water skills test and obtain Waterpark Guard Certification on site.
• Prior Customer Service experience a plus.
• Interest in health and wellness preferred but not required.

• Various, according to availability to work and the needs of the facility.

• Current high school student and above: College Students and Retirees encourage to apply.

• As a WAFC employee benefit, you will be provided with an individual membership (for yourself.) This is good for both the Aquatics and Fitness Center.
