Job description
LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment at Boak Education Center, Lowville, New York
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $52,219-$54,419. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies. Clinical Supervision available to assist with obtaining L-CSW License.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Maintain confidential records and activities connected with the program
- Assist with PBIS programming and participate in staff & faculty presentations
- Collaborate with a team of educators serving students
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, school personnel, CSE's and community agencies.
Job Qualifications
Candidate must hold a New York State Master of Social Work license and hold or be eligible for New York State certification as a School Social Worker which requires fingerprinting, Child Abuse, DASA, and SAVE workshops.
- Strong communication skills in order to work with parents, school personnel, CSE’s and community agencies
- Effective collaboration skills in order to work with a team of educators and community agency personnel serving students
