Sandberg Phoenix is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Team

Sandberg Phoenix is recruiting a litigation legal assistant with 3+ years of experience in litigation supporting our growing team in our Edwardsville Office.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate and finalizes correspondence, and legal documents to include pleadings, memoranda, briefs, electronic filings, contracts, leases, and agreements.
  • Problem solve, think independently, and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with attorney/paralegal team in producing high quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients on all levels.
  • Managing calendar and docket.
  • Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Handle electronic filings with the various courts.
  • Handle and process business and vendor expenses.
  • Other duties in compliance with Standards of Quality for Legal Assistant.

You should have:

  • Ability to problem-solve, think independently and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical, typographic, or spelling errors.
  • Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports at a level of minimum of 70 wpm.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Suite Products
  • Interpersonal skills to work with other Sandberg Phoenix members in a positive, teamwork environment to service our clients.
  • 2 Year Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies preferred or related business degree.
