POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lease Operator reports to the Production Foreman. The primary purpose for this position is to maintain optimum production from assigned wells, perform required repairs and maintenance, and record meter/gauge readings on a regular basis.

Special focus will be placed on:

• Maintains the production rate throughout the system
• Performs daily operational checks of assigned wells and production facilities.
• Ensures that safety devices are operational
• Tests wells to determine production rates and problems.
• Monitors equipment repairs.
• Performs housekeeping and basic maintenance of well-site duties.
• Operates and maintains central production treatment/storage/compression facilities and the operation and maintenance of water injection pumps, related equipment, and various utility support systems including oilfield boilers, centrifugal de-sanders and chemical injection equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 - 4 years of related oil and gas production experience.
• General knowledge of well operations, including general maintenance practices
• Ability to operate independently and manage time
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools, as well as lawn equipment
• Must possess valid driver’s license

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment
• Fieldwork environment requires working in a variety of different weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
