JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with the Lean Program in a variety of aspects including but not limited to attending the Idea Card Committee meetings and assist with the day to day, Idea Card Activity. Assist with SOP preparation and creation. Maintain document control and project software database. Perform tasks with minimal supervision, interacts with management to gather information. May assist in various aspects of the Training & Development of employees. Participates in various trainings and team/group discussions. Conducts follow ups for projects and document control. Receives instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Provides assistance to other departments per the discretion of the Training & Development Manager. Work shift may vary based on the need to collect information, perform specific tasks and to attend meetings or trainings. Coordinate lean activities and trainings.
DIMENSIONS: WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standard work environment
Time on PC, Majority of time Walking/Standing.
Time in hot or cold production environments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in gathering information and preparing documents.
Develop skills in SafetyChain form creation and document control.
Working with Business departments to ensure appropriate information is collected for SOP creation and developed. May design and deliver his/her own presentations and project tracking system.
Work with Training & Development Supervisor and Operations department to collect information and develop SOP preparation documents.
Assist the Training & Development Manager with the implementation and ongoing training of the SOP and various other training programs.
Assist with the management of the Idea Board program and the E.G.G.S (exploring gaps and getting solutions) team that works in conjunction with the Idea Board program.
Assist with updating training materials and processes as needed.
Provide technical support and assistance to employees on the use of training media and systems.
Partners with operations management and Training & Development to create the department training and readiness strategies.
All other duties as assigned.
Assist the Training and Development Department in environment enrichment programs that improve the buy-in of employees in their roles.
Assist with employee engagement activities, planning and communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related training field or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years' experience in Lean Manufacturing and training/teaching or related experience required.
POSTING JOB PREFERENCES:
Training experience in at least 3 years facilitating trainings and training material development
Computer skills in Microsoft Office 365.
Adult learning theory and practice preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools preferred.
Bi-lingual skills preferred.
