Role overview
The mission of our Talent Acquisition team is to grow our team with bar raising talent @ Shiftsmart. We're building a high performing, diverse, and inclusive team where people can do their best work and have a blast doing it. We measure success based on how quickly, efficiently, and effectively we recruit new rockstars into our business.
In this role you will be responsible for securing our most critical asset - talent. You will partner with senior leaders to translate business goals into talent needs, design and implement strategies to define, source, screen, and close diverse bar-raising talent, and own candidate relationships through offer and close as we build a world-class talent team.
What you'll do:
- Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers across functions to translate business goals into talent needs, craft job descriptions, define target profiles, and own end-to-end searches to deliver key hires
- Use data to identify opportunities and challenges in our recruiting process, and then design and implement creative strategies that scale our ability to source, screen, and close bar-raising talent
- Own end-to-end candidate pipeline including funnel volume and velocity to deliver priority hires by target dates
- Prepare and lead status reviews on active searches, talent pipeline, and calibration discussions
- Work with founders and leadership to improve our entire recruiting process, from recruiting strategy and role definition to candidate sourcing, onboarding, and our recruiting tools & processes

We share the truth even when it is painful. We do not, however, share the truth callously to hurt people's feelings or make them look bad. We also assume positive intent. If someone is not delivering in a way that we need, we ask them and tell them before assuming the worst.

We tell the truth to ourselves. We reject a pollyannaish view of our world. Instead if something isn't going well that we are responsible for, we call it out. And when someone calls out their own truth that may be less optimal, we don't punish them for it.
We have the meeting in the meeting. If something is broken or we disagree, we call it out and say something in the moment even if it feels uncomfortable to do so. This means that if something is broken, we do not just accept it and complain later.

We are inventors @ heart. We categorically reject the phrase "that is how it's always been done", and constantly discover new and better ways to do more with less. This means we are resourceful and often do things that don't scale, only to create ways to scale them later. We're builders.
