Responsibilities:

  • Building and specifying Lutron HomeWorks (QS, QSX), and Radio RA3 systems.
  • Understanding of Home control systems (Savant, Control 4) and their wiring requirements.
  • High familiarity of Networking, A/V, HVAC, and Security systems pertaining to their signal flows and operational requirements.
  • Support Sales and Project Managers by providing designs and engineering work as requested, including but not limited to:Conceptualizing and creating project design packages based off proposals, sales information, and initial meetings with clients/architect/builders.

Maintaining and updating all pertinent plans and documentation for projects.
Overseeing and proofing of drawing sets including AV Plans, Wire Schedule, Dimensions List, Elevation, Cabinet/Rack Drawings, Functional Schematics, Electrical Specifications, Wire Scaling information.
Assist sales with project estimates as needed.

  • Analyze CD sets for elevation conditions and ideal equipment heights.
  • Approve MEP sets (Electrical coordination and other mechanical systems).
  • Collaborate with Architects/Interior Designers/Electricians/General Contractors on an on-going basis.
  • Collaborate with System Engineering and PM to ensure that design documents are engineered, proofed, and delivered by assigned deadlines.
  • Attend site walk throughs, and update Advise Project Management team of review design changes as needed.
  • Communicate to clients, field personnel, and others the intended wiring design, layout, and appearance of individual components of the project.
  • Integrate all AV/IT/Network equipment integration in design documents without affecting overall architectural design of space.
  • Ensure the timely completion and delivery of project documents.
  • Maintain proactive and regular communication, internally and externally, verbally and in writing, with clients, general contractors, and other project representatives to keep others informed about technical aspects of the project and any updates.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • High familiarity building and specifying Lutron HomeWorks (QS, QSX), and Radio RA(2 & 3) systems, HomeWorks programming knowledge a plus.
  • Understanding Home control systems (Savant, Control 4).
  • Knowledge of Networking, A/V, HVAC, Security systems and signal flows.
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to self-motivate with adaptability due to changes in schedule, or project needs.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, able to multi-task conflicting critical requests.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years experience with Lutron HomeWorks and Radio RA.
  • 2+ years experience in the design and support of residential A/V, networking, and lighting projects.
  • 2+ years experience with Construction Documents generation in the A/V home automation residential industry.
  • Autocad experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
