About The Role
SandboxAQ operates at the intersection of AI/ML and quantum, where modern development technologies are leveraged to deliver consistent customer software delivery, scalable data pipelines, and everything in between. The DevOps Lead will work closely with the engineering and science teams to ensure high development throughput, scalable operation, and deterministic results. The ideal candidate will have a solid DevOps track record and an appetite to build something from the ground up.
Core Responsibilities
- Stand-up a central DevOps organization leveraging current engineering resources and external vendors
- Identify common needs across various engineering teams and design a consistent DevOps strategy
- Works with cloud, IT and security teams to optimally use available technologies while continuing to secure SandboxAQ's infrastructure
- Perpetuate a culture of good development practices targeting high quality, consistent delivery
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience running a DevOps organization in a cloud-native environment
- Thorough understanding of current test / validation methodologies
- Track record of personally growing both DevOps infrastructure and team
- Familiarity with Linux systems and C/C++/Go/Rust development
- Experience with kubernetes, docker, and infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform)
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful support of both conventional software development and machine learning / data science
- Ability to efficiently design and implement systems that deal with regulated data
- Experience deploying pipelines across multiple cloud vendors (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Deep knowledge around automation of software packaging for enterprise Linux customers
- Ability to obtain U.S. Government clearance
