JOB SUMMARY: Assist in training bartenders, and oversee bar operations.

• Train new bartenders in the polices and procedures of bar operations, including TIPS administration.
• Participate in monthly inventory of unit bar operation.
• Maintain beverage par levels in unit bar, ensuring bartenders are properly filling orders.
• Overseeing orders on a nightly basis.
• Overseeing the completion of opening and closing side duties, and checking out bartenders and cocktail servers.
• Communicating with Unit Management on beverage issues, especially TIPS enforcement.
• Assist with the scheduling of bartenders and cocktail servers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with opening and closing shifts.
• Assist with creating seasonal featured drinks, updating wine/beer offerings in compliance with current industry beverage trends.

• Previous bartending experience in a high volume bar operations or food & beverage supervisory experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the state of Arizona.
• Ability to provide prompt, courteous services and properly interact with a broad cross-section of guests.
• Ability to learn, apply and firmly enforce Arizona State liquor laws, as well as Xanterra South Rim liquor policies and National Park Service requirements.
• Ability to pass company sponsored alcohol awareness class and applies methods learned to guest situations.
• Ability to accurately handle cash transactions, including guest, Cocktail Server and Food & Beverage Server transactions. Learn and operate the Squirrel system.
• Ability to follow portion pour procedures for all beverages served.
• Physically able to change out fifteen gallon beer kegs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be available for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
