Job description
Responsibilities:The Laboratory Teaching Assistant reports to the Department of Chemistry Chair and is responsible for working with the General Chemistry Coordinator. Specific duties include coordinating all laboratories and recitations; ordering lab supplies for experiments; maintaining all labs; scheduling lab student workers; and assisting instructors in all labs. The Laboratory Teaching Assistant attends all department and school meetings. Perform other duties within the scope of this position that are deemed necessary to fulfill the mission of the department and the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in chemistry is required. The successful candidate must have previous related experience; excellent organizational and communication skills; and demonstrated ability to work with students, faculty, staff and the general public. The candidate must be knowledgeable of safety rules.
