Job description

The Sample Prep & Logistics Assistant will support the Consumer & Environmental Safety Department.

• Will assist with the receipt, processing, storage, and distribution of research samples.
• Will provide electronic and written documentation in harmony with department guidelines
• Will support other logistics activities related to samples.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Proven record of being reliable and showing up to work each day on time.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to document activities accurately and responsibly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and good lab practices
• Ability to lift between 25-80 pounds
• Must adhere to all safe work practices and were the appropriate PPE for the task…ie, hearing protection, safety glasses, lab coat, freezer coat/gloves, etc.

Hours:

• This position works 4 -9 hour days, M - Th, and a half day on Friday.
• Start time is between 6:30 - 7:00 AM for all days. It will be important to be on time.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Laboratory: 1 year (Required)
