Starting wage $18.00/hr

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform required tests on samples brought to the laboratory
- Keep management and production employees informed of the results of in-process testing as required
- Go into the plant to collect environmental swabs, check metal detectors and inspect breakage clean up as needed
- Maintain state certification for laboratory tests requiring certification
- Run calibration standards on equipment within the laboratory
- Prepare solutions and control samples needed for the various tests run in the laboratory
- Maintain neat, accurate and complete records of test data and producer records on the proper forms
- Maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner
- Assist in training new laboratory employees as needed
- Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position
- Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements
- Follow all safety regulations
- Perform related duties as required
- Perform all master sanitation and housekeeping required within the lab.

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Receive PA Milk Tester license within one (1) year of entry into department
- Experience in a dairy lab preferred butnot required
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to use commercial English, grammar, arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Computer knowledge/capabilities in excel. SAP preferred
- Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours and lift up to 55lbs.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
