Kitchen & Bath Designer / Manager

Sudberry Millwork in Nashville, TN is under new ownership and looking to build a new culture in the workplace while expanding the footprint of the business. Seeking energetic, high-achieving hard workers with a positive attitude.

Position Overview:

This position will provide oversight, decision-making, and direction of multiple projects in a fast paced, mostly office, environment. It is not necessarily a "design" job, but moreso managing the process of building out the cabinetry for custom kitchens and bathrooms in new construction homes. Outside of proficient computer skills, little experience is necessary - if you are driven and hard-working, with strong communication skilss and a positive energy, we will train you to do the job!

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with 2020 Design program to create designs, install drawings, and ordering cabinets
  • Develops, communicates, and monitors project schedules including deliveries with Shop Operations Manager to meet and exceed customer time-line expectations.
  • Establishes clear work bills of projects tasks, ensures that team members have the information needed, and provides timely feedback.
  • Keep up with project schedules, timetables, modifications to project scope and change orders.
  • Follow up after installs and make sure punch lists are completed.
  • Manages job costs and reviews sub-contractor performance so that quality, budget and deadlines are met appropriately.
  • Communicates project details to accounting for the timely issuance of progress billings, final billing and project closure.

Experience Required:

  • Ability to plan, communicate and maintain a project schedule.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Proficiency in 2020 Cabinet Design Program.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to define required resources and materials required to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate Shop Drawings/Detail Drawings/Red-line Drawings with Drafting Department.
  • Reviews Bill of Material for Purchase and make accurate purchases of materials.
  • Supply Field Dimensions to Drafting Department as required.
  • Coordinate project logistics to include delivery of products to project site.
  • Supply Accounting with all necessary documentation and information for accurate and timely billings.
  • Represent company with integrity and professionalism fostering positive relationships with our customers and suppliers.
  • Professional communications with Owners, Architects, Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Material Suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient work appearance and environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
