The Dunwoody Kids team is growing! Dunwoody Kids is a Ministry of Dunwoody UMC serving kids Prek(4s) - 5th grades. We serve an active and growing population of kids and parents, and we’re opening a new position for a full-time, Kids Formation Associate to help keep the momentum going.

As a Kids Associate, you’ll help create the foundations for what our kids know about Faith. This role will be responsible for editing the weekly lessons from our curriculum package to fit the appropriate Sunday School/ Chapel format for the week and creating the Kids worship lesson each week to follow the ”big church” worship message. This role will also keep our families informed by managing our social media and coordinating with our communications team about website updates. In addition, this role will join in the planning and executing of our major faith moments and events that the whole team collaborates to achieve (examples include VBS, Third Grade Bibles, and graduation).

In addition to lesson planning, the Kids Formation Associate will work directly with our congregations’ kids by serving as one of our Wednesday morning Preschool leaders and a Sunday morning kids worship leader and Sunday School support member.

This role requires a working knowledge of the Google suite of products (sheets, docs, and drive) as well as Microsoft office (excel, powerpoint, and word). Applicants should also be comfortable working with technology to connect to presentation screens and learn new tools. The ideal candidate understands the developmental skills appropriate to ages 4-12, enjoys choosing games and activities for kids, and enjoys writing and editing lessons. They also have a strong desire to help kids grow into the knowledge that they are beloved members of Christ’s Holy Family, and they have a solid faith in God himself.

This is an in-office role with most hours being served at the church and limited remote options. Required office days are Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday (8:30a-12:30p) with remaining office hours being determined to a negotiable schedule upon hiring.
