Duties and Responsibilities


Essential Functions:

  • Document and maintain organizational structure of customer Purchasing and Engineering departments.
  • Establish and maintain detailed understanding of customer business processes in Quality, APQP, gateways, product development and industrialization, obsolescence, warranty, etc.
  • Actively manage customer Purchasing and Engineering personnel within their own processes, specifications and requirements.
  • Build comprehensive knowledge base of local customer strategy, planning and key initiatives.
  • Fulfill overall customer business objectives through internal coordination of all commercial requirements (APR, Business Plan, etc.).
  • Establish strategic relationships with key personnel and decision makers in customer Purchasing and Engineering and customer plants (Quality, Material Planning & Launch).
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for key business targets and coordinate activities internally and externally to acquire targeted business.
  • Present technical information regarding company products and capabilities.
  • Interface globally with Mubea KAM organization and support global targets, initiatives and strategies.
  • Communicate customer concerns internally and coordinate activities to resolve issues and close gaps.
  • Coordinate annual budget and mid-term planning for respective customer(s).
  • Participate in industry groups, initiatives and activities that are related to Mubea business and support overall strategy and targets.
  • Participate in BU APQP meetings and follow up on commercial and customer related issues.
  • Support cost savings, continuous improvement and gate review activities internally and with the customer as required.

Qualifications


Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree required, technical degree preferred. Minimum of five years automotive Account Management experience required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a successful record of new business development.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Email software, Internet software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Candidate must possess good communication and organization skills.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of at least one automotive OEM general business processes and tools.
  • Preferred knowledge of all electronic communication systems pertaining to DDL, CMMS, MSIII, SAP, and all other supplier requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A master’s degree in related field
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and sales driven businesses
  • Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization
  • Bilingual German/Spanish a plus
