As a leader within Giorgio Armani Corporation, you will be responsible for driving sales and act as a brand champion for the restaurant location. You will collaborate with a strong team to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively. Duties & Responsibilities
Drive Results
- Responsible for the back-of-house service structure for the Ristorante
- Responsible for assisting the Senior Sous Chefs with achieving sales plans and profitability expectations for the short- and long-range objectives
- Collaborate with Senior Sous Chefs on leveraging awareness of market, competitors, and food trends strategies to analyze business relative to competitive landscape and local trends.
Excellence in Client Experience
- Accountable for aligning the team to build a memorable customer experience
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards in their station within the restaurant back-of-house
- Implement exceptional service by handling all client inquiries of food allergies or changes in the seasonal menu
- Food and beverage subject-matter-expert (SME) to support a smooth and memorable client experience
Talent Management
- Foster a culture of engagement and empowerment that values inclusion and diversity
- Collaborate with Senior Sous Chefs to ensure teams are built for success through training, and strong performance management strategies
- Demonstrates fair and consistent management practices that are aligned with company expectations
- Ensures that all global and local training programs, including harassment, compliance, communication, and Armani Lifestyle training are executed
- Operate in accordance with all Health and Safety legislation, and hygiene requirements and ensure that they are consistently being met
Brand
- Ensures the visual representation of the Ristorante back-of-house reflects company standards
- Assist Senior Sous Chefs execute programs including events, parties, etc.
- Partner with the Senior Sous Chefs in coordinating and preparing for special events, when necessary.
- Preserve the integrity and ensure flawless execution of company identity and strategies
- Cascade knowledge of the restaurant industry to ensure effective representation within the marketplace
Operational Excellence
- Partners with Senior Sous Chefs to create menu descriptions and recipes for seasonal menu variations in the Ristorante
- Assist with back-of-house planning for service accounting number of reservations, large parties, and floor timing management
- Partners with the Senior Sous Chefs on scheduling needs
- Supports the Senior Sous Chefs to ensure the overall operation is aligned with company standards
- Collaborates with the Executive Chef to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness, repair, and maintenance in back-of-house
- Assist the Executive Chef with purchasing to ensure prompt and efficient buying, issuing of supplies, stock control and inventory control.
- Accountable for liaising health inspector visits to the Ristorante and providing all necessary information to maintain high grade scores
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar restaurant role with at least 1+ year of management experience
- Post-Secondary degree preferred
- Experience in Italian Cuisine
- Experience with fine dinning
- Established strong network in the Restaurant community
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- While not required Spanish or other language skills are considered a strong asset
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $62,000 to $75,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions.
