Current Need

Our General Contacting arm, EVOS is looking to add a cost estimator that specializes in interior renovations; particularly in commercial, hotel, and retail interiors. Our typical per project volume is between 100,000.00 and 2,000,000.00. We are looking for candidates with experience as a junior estimator in the New York / New Jersey market.

Responsibilities.

• Prepare quantity take-offs to check against subcontractor quotations.
• Ensure a complete review of plans and drawings.
• Prepare and circulate pre-bid RFI's
• Solicit subcontractor quotations and follow up to secure quotations on time.
• Level subcontractor bids.
• Attend pre bid client meetings and prepare notes for subcontractors and project manager.
• Analyze and communicate all labor and building requirements to subcontractors and vendors.
• Attend value engineering meetings post award and prepare value engineered pricing.
• Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.

Qualifications

• BS or BA. Preferred areas of study include construction management, engineering or architecture.
• 2+ years of experience in Estimating, Construction Engineer/Project Engineer, or related duties in general contractor estimating and purchasing.
• Experience with Procore
• Experience with Building Connected
• Experience with SmartSheet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
