Buzzi Unicem USA is looking for a Junior Process Engineer, to be part of our 1 year training program, and join our team at our Pryor, TX plant.
The Junior Process Engineer will be part of Buzzi Unicem USA's training program and will receive direction and mentoring from our Production Manager and other Sr. Technical Staff. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Supporting the plant in ensuring the equipment operates efficiently to maximize production rates and minimize fuel and power consumption.- Working with the plant and the Engineering Department on strategies for automatic process control projects.
- Performing process audits at the plant; following up with plant personnel to discuss actual versus budgeted equipment key performance indicators, and providing suggestions to improve operations.
- Maintaining consistent and accurate process related reports and documentation, such as production reports.
- Supporting the plant in maximizing the kiln’s refractory life and by maintaining the software utilized company-wide for tracking refractory life.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 0 – 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility preferred, experience in heavy industry a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and inquisitive by nature
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially word and excel, Access is a plus
- Requires availability to travel, primarily to the company’s facilities within the US
