The Job Coach team is growing, and we are looking for someone that enjoys building relationships with people by utilizing active listening, offering guidance, and counseling them as they find their way back or start their journey into the workforce.
Position Overview:
The Job Coach delivers professional guidance and support to candidates seeking work-at-home jobs through NTI. The ideal Job Coach will be able to balance a caseload of registrants with varying coaching needs while expertly providing support to the candidates. The Job Coach goal is to help prepare the candidate for our employer partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using Zoom, phone, texts and professional emails, assist candidates in selecting and pursuing appropriate job positions
- Assess needs of candidates to determine if training is needed
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans through resume assistance, mock interviews, and job fit analysis with candidates
- Assess the strengths of candidates and show them how to effectively use them for work
- Evaluate on-the-job training and job support needs
- Monitor and evaluate progress of candidates
- Prepare appropriate reports
- Develop relationships with candidates to provide empathetic, constructive feedback
- Review resumes and provide suggestions for appropriate formatting and suitably, as needed
- Prepare candidates to submit applications
- Conduct mock interviews to prepare candidates for employment interviews
- Upon candidate employment, check-in with them for up to 90 days to ensure success
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must pass a federal background check
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Successfully pass all NTI training processes in a timely manner
- Passion for guiding and motivating others to be successful in meeting employment goals
- Good verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills; must read, write, speak, and hear English
- Demonstrate professional and encouraging demeanor with clear speaking voice
- Sensitivity to working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to be sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs
- Ability to multitask
- Technical ability to assist candidates including basic computer troubleshooting, learning new software, managing several databases, and typing skills of at least 30 wpm
- Ability to be a team player to meet goals and objectives established by the organization
- Meet necessary computer requirements
Preferred Requirements:
- College degree highly preferred
- Have a strong work ethic and professional values
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Background in business, job coaching, or social work
