Overview

CAD Designer must have experience and knowledge creating jewelry pieces of intermediate to advanced difficulty levels in Matrix or Rhino. Responsible for execution of designs while adhering to functional and aesthetic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Create designs from start to finish with limited supervision and understand team processes and aesthetics fluently.
• Be able to create functional designs by understanding sketches and technical specifications.
• Knowledge and ability to create stone settings and mechanisms such as claps, connections, and hinges.
• Provide input on timelines to completion; translate design concept into a physical piece within established project time frame.
• Be knowledgeable of production techniques and how to build and split models for various production processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of CAD experience specific to jewelry or similar product category.
• Must have knowledge of jewelry production as well as precious metal properties.
• Experience with ProJet or Solidscape prototyping machines are a plus.
• Proficient in Gemvision Matrix and/or Rhino
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Standard office equipment.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
• Design portfolio to show experience in work completed
• Technical understanding or jewelry manufacturing
• Innovative on design techniques
• Fast and efficient worker
• Punctual with deadlines
• Must be available to work in Downtown Los Angeles Office

Candidate Requirements: - 2+ years’ experience in jewelry design and experience with Rhino & Gem Vision Matrix and Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Effective time management and ability to stay organized- Able to work with fast turnaround times
