Job description
At the present time, Blue Star is searching for a Java Developer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Design, develop, and maintain key components of software applications in an agile development environment
- Support the development of the technical roadmap
- Create and update all relevant documentation and specifications
- Communicate and collaborate with customers, developers, supervisors, and other teammates
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or another relevant discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using Java
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience using JQuery and JavaScript
- Experience using Spring Framework
- Experience with Web Services development (i.e. REST, XML)
- Knowledge of SQL and other database fundamentals
- Experience using Source Control Tools (i.e. Git)
- Experience using software ticketing system (i.e. JIRA)
- Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
- Experience using React, Bootstrap and other libraries
- Experience using Tomcat or Apache
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience leading one or more software development teams
