Position Description:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct IT skills gap analyses.
- Design technical manuals using simple language.
- Conduct role-specific training on tools and programs each EP team uses daily.
- Apply educational methods to engage trainees.
- Perform regular organization-wide training on system security.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of each educational session.
- Train new employees in the proper use of hardware and software.
- Maintain updated records of training curriculum and materials.
- Assigns, manages, and tracks tasks and resources at all phases of IT Training projects.
- Manages issue identification and resolution process for IT Training projects.
- Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to the success of IT.
- Represent IT on the Policy and Procedure Committee to discuss changes in forms, policies, manuals, etc.
- Participate in the Eastpointe monthly provider meetings to provide updates on IT initiatives.
- Prepares and presents IT Training project status reports and presentations to IT Leadership and Senior Leadership.
- Manages IT Training Survey process to ensure metrics related to training participation and trainer performance are captured.
- Develops Communication Plans and writes training communications related to software upgrades and implementations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proven work experience as an IT Trainer, Technical Trainer, or similar role
- Experience designing technical course material.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, SharePoint)
- Experience with Web Conferencing applications, LMS systems, and Video/Recording tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms plainly.
- Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of training concepts, practices, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management and business analyst concepts and process improvement methodologies
- Good understanding of corporate computer security principles.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
1. Minimum Education: Graduation from high school and five years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
2. Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field and 2 or more years of progressively responsible work experience in an IT development department, preferably in a healthcare or managed care environment which provided the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position.
3. Additional certification in training (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer) is a plus.
