Position Description:

Plan, implement, oversee, and maintain server and network infrastructures and projects.

Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Upgrades, installs, and troubleshoots servers and associated hardware– Responsible for installation and management of all servers and associated hardware.
  • Upgrades, installs, and troubleshoots software running in the data center and server environments.
  • Responsible for managing all server-based software applications.
  • Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco and VMware technologies.
  • Responsible for system performance and uptime of data center and server environments
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Support of Hosted Software solutions – Provides support to end users for hosted software solutions.

Network

  • Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
  • Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
  • Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.

Cybersecurity

  • Duties include reviewing system logs to identify potential issues with systems or security
  • Endpoint Security/Encryption – Responsible for managing the security of all endpoint devices and ensuring encryption is utilized as appropriate to ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations.

Projects

  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions

IT Team

  • Review of Helpdesk Tickets for escalation to Network Administrator and/or Infrastructure Manager
  • Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
  • Carry out special tasks at Management's direction.
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2016 & 2019) /desktop Operating Systems (Win 10/11)
  • Managing multi-site locations with more than 25 Windows Server infrastructure
  • Managing deployments/rollouts
  • Managing server virtualization technologies -VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual
  • A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  • Managing Cisco Technology Stack – Switch, Telephony,
  • Group Policy design and configuration
  • M365 Administration – Exchange, Teams,
  • Azure and Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
  • Azure Cloud Experience – Storage, Security, VM
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues
  • LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q


Education/Experience/Licensure:

1. Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in an information technology related field and six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in an information systems department, preferably in a healthcare or managed care environment which provided the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position.

2. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology related field and four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in an information systems department, preferably in a healthcare or managed care, which provided the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position.
