Duties
As an IT Specialist (ENTARCH), you will:
- Serve as a senior technical expert in the area of enterprise architecture.
- Responsibilities will include capital planning and investment control, technology business management (TBM), data standardization and governance, data analytics, policy and standards development and implementation, infrastructure planning, information security management and enterprise architecture, including but not limited to business, data and technical architecture.
- Ensure the current enterprise architecture is thoroughly understood and documented by designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and promoting detailed architectural artifacts.
- Conduct complex research and applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify and assess trends, risks, and issues and make recommendations to colleagues and leadership to improve processes and program outcomes across the bureau.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.

Qualifications
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility at the GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent, which have equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Experience independently synthesizing various types of data to determine how they support an organization and relevant business issues; AND
- Experience independently assessing IT or policy needs and developing proposed policies to govern business or IT activities; AND
- Experience leading IT-related discussions to present findings or influence decisions with little or no supervision
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
