Position: *IT Manager

*
Purpose: *The IT Manager is primarily responsible for working across the organization to manage and streamline the IT operations in alignment with the technology strategies of the company. A hands-on manager who effectively manages and coaches the IT staff and directs the day-to-day IT operations including system maintenance, updates and upgrades, IT help ticket management, and documentation of all IT systems, equipment, and applications. This position will work closely with the IT Director by researching, recommending, and implementing technology solutions that enhance the company’s IT infrastructure. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate solid leadership across the organization is paramount in this position.

  • Ensures the IT systems are functioning properly, reliable, and secure resulting in consistent, uninterrupted service for users with no significant quality issues.
  • People leader with the ability to lead, coach, support and provide frequent feedback to develop, challenge and grow the IT team.
  • Proactively research (or delegate to staff) significant technology enhancements that will align with the strategic IT roadmap and work alongside the IT Director by providing continuous feedback and recommendations.
  • Provide valuable feedback and updates to the IT Director through regular cadences.
  • A team player by providing back-up to the IT staff in a hands-on manner to ensure exceptional internal customer service.
  • Create strong partnerships with the ERP and Analysis team by supporting their technology needs. Manage and monitor the daily IT operations including server hardware, workstations, email systems, applications, and other IT related tools.

Responsibilities:*

  • Manage and monitor the daily IT operations including server hardware, workstations, email systems, applications, and other IT related tools.
  • Manage the IT Incident tracking system across multiple locations by ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of all IT help desk tickets received.
  • Maintain records, audits trails, and documentation to support policy and procedure and contribute to the general operating efficiency of the job.
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
  • Train employees on both software and hardware; troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
  • Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain relevant backups

Skills/Qualifications:

*
Technical*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Six years of experience working in IT operations required with three years in a management role
  • Proven experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Virtualization (VMWare and Hyper-V), SAN Storage (NetApp), Failover Clustering
  • Active Directory (On-prem and cloud)
  • Cloud Services – O365 Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
  • Backup software (Datto, Veeam, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in security protocols and remediation
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting

Working Conditions:*
Includes working primarily in an office setting, with occasional assignments outside the office. This position requires an ability to work a flexible schedule as required by the business needs including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Occasional travel is required and may include a quarterly trip to company sites in the Pacific northwest.

Compensation:*
Base rate range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annual salary. Prior work or industry experience as well as job-related education and skills will be considered when setting the wage rate.

Other: Eligible for additional incentive compensation including an annual profit share award.
