The Power BI developer is needed to help with the data structure setup, for developing BI reports, and for providing insights to improve decision-making. The role of this developer requires him/her to have a wide knowledge of business intelligence, data integration, data warehousing, modeling, database, and technical aspects of BI tools.

Responsible for: Building reporting solutions supporting our large-scale data strategy across our entire business units, product units, and functions. Partnering with our diverse teams, the BI Dev will work with a large data set, design metrics, develop data models and drive business cases that will empower our business growth, operational efficiency, and customer relationships. As a key member of our Data & Analytics team at Heath Consultants Inc, the Bi developer will have the opportunity to make a difference to our business by building insightful reporting solutions and delivering results through a variety of exciting and challenging projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately collect and model data for various types of business reports
• Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
• Create customized charts and custom calculations as required
• Create visually impactful, interactive business reports that provide insight into key data points
• Design business analysis and data recording systems for use in the reporting processes
• Examine existing reports to locate and resolve issues
• Make essential technical and strategic changes to improve present business intelligence systems
• Partner with various departments in reaching their goals through analysis
• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics.

Knowledge:

• Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Applies expertise in principles, theories, and concepts
• Broad knowledge of business/function and development life cycle
• Prior Reporting Developer, or BI Developer experience

• 3-5 years’ experience with BI Developer Tools

Special Skills:

• Expert in Bi Tools (Preferred Power BI)
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum framework is a plus.

• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills

• Ability to understand the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Ability to communicate with business as well as technical teams.
