Job description

ISE is seeking experienced Ironworkers to join our field crew on both structural steel erection and roof raising projects. The individual must be mechanically inclined, a quick learner, and willing to perform whatever tasks are needed on a job site. The ironworker position reports directly to the Field Foreman at each job. This is a mid-level position with at least 1 year of structural steel work experience required.

Hours – 7:00am-3:30pm M-F, with some Saturdays at time and a half rate

Travel – Must be willing to commute in personal vehicle to the construction site, with mileage & tolls reimbursed from Randolph, NJ

Core Responsibilities

Versatility in completing tasks of an ironworker, including but not limited to

• Connecting & Bolt Up
• Rigging
• Decking
• Welding (GMAW and SMAW)
• Cutting/Burning (Oxy-Acetylene Torch)
• Grinding, saw cutting, drilling, anchoring
• Equipment operation (Forklift, Scissor lift, Boom Lift, Lull)
• General labor

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• OK working at heights of up to 50' above ground

Preferred Skills

• Certified Welder in either SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW
• Ability to read & comprehend Blue Prints and Shop Drawings
• Osha 10 or 30, and OSHA subpart R Course Completion
• Fluent in Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
