Job Responsibilities:
- Verify IRA documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify posting of IRA transactions are accurate
- Set up automatic distributions
- Update procedures as needed
- Work applicable reports for any exceptions
- Be a resource to branch team members for questions
- Work the deceased member listing for members who have passed with an IRA/HSA/ESA
- Ensure required letters are sent out each year to members who must take distributions
- Review all tax documents for accuracy and make corrections when necessary
- Receive external requests for transfers, etc and process them.
- Will be part of the service pack testing for IRAs, HSAs, and ESAs
- Will be cross trained to assist in the other areas of the branch operations support area
- Be an active member on various project teams
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience and one (1) year of member service, financial services, hospitality, sales, or similar experience (working in a credit union environment is a plus, but not required).
- Candidate will be required to take appropriate certification courses to become a Certified IRA Specialist within one year and maintain their certification while in the position.
