An Open Door Adoption Agency (AOD) has been established and licensed as a private, non-profit, Christian agency since 1986. AOD is seeking a part-time, Spanish speaking adoption consultant in GA to work with our International Adoption team to assist families through the process of adoption of orphaned children in Latin American programs.

This position will include:

• Providing education and counseling to adoptive families around adoption issues and adopting an older child
• Assisting adoptive parents in navigating the home study, immigration, and foreign country requirements for the purpose of international adoption
• Use clinical skills and judgment to ensure the best interest of the child
• Communicate with families, team members, and officials in our Latin American programs using Spanish Language as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited program of social work; or a combination of a bachelor's degree and prior experience in family and children's services, adoption, or intercountry adoption.
• Spanish Language skills

Preferred qualifications

• A masters degree from an accredited program of social work or related human service field
• Spanish Language skills.

Notes:

• This can be a remote position with the expectation of availability during regular office hours
• May require occasional travel to the home office in Thomasville, GA
• Potential for travel to the foreign country
• Part time- starting at fifteen to twenty hours a week

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on education and job experience
