JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Education Cooperative (TEC) seeks a dynamic individual to serve as Interim Executive Director of a multi-service, entrepreneurial public school organization that provides services to seventeen memberMassachusetts public schools districts. As the Interim Executive Director, you will lead a team of educators whoprovide an engaging and supportive learning environment for students with complex learning needs inTECs three DESE approved public day programs: TECCampus School, TEC High School and TEC PhoenixAcademy. In addition, you will continue TECs reputation for innovation and collaboration in areas suchas professional development, cooperative purchasing, job-alike opportunities, and student data privacyfor the metro-west region. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success as an educationalleader and an ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, including TEC's educators, staff,students, parents, member-district superintendents, and Board of Directors.

Qualified candidates willhave strong skills in the areas of budget development, strategic planning, team building, and acommitment to the beliefs and values of TEC.ORGANIZATION PROFILEFounded in 1968, The Education Cooperative (TEC) is a Massachusetts educational collaborative and501(c)(3) non-profit organization approved by the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and SecondaryEducation and overseen by the Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education. TEC provides anengaging and supportive learning environment for students with complex learning needs. Our talented,experienced and caring educators work as an integrated team to empower students to embrace theirdreams and goals, take control of their lives, and be actively involved in their own learning process inorder to reach their full potential.TEC offers three DESE approved public day school programs for students: TECCampus School, TEC HighSchool and TEC Phoenix Academy. In addition to its education programs for students ages 3-22, TECprovides specialized consultation to member districts, andoutstanding professional developmentprograms, state and national cooperative purchasing programs, the TEC Student Data Privacy Alliance,Job-Alike groups, and career and internship programs for students for its metro-west regional learningcommunity.TEC is a multi-service, entrepreneurial public school partner governed by a Board of Directorsrepresentingthe Superintendents and School Committees of the seventeen member Massachusettspublic schooldistricts: Canton, Dedham, Dover, Dover-Sherborn, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton,Medfield, Medway, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norwood, Sherborn, Walpole, Wayland, and Westwood,Massachusetts.Flexible and adaptable, TEC quickly responds to the individual needs of member districts with whomthey enjoy trusted, collaborative partnerships.

TEC is supported primarily by fee-for-service activities,with anannual operating budget of $10.8million. TEC has been a leader in innovation and onlinelearning and is the proud sponsor of TECCA, the Commonwealth Virtual School. TEC launched theStudent Data Privacy Alliance in 2017 which has grown to protect student data in 5 states: MA, NH,RI, ME and VT.Administrative offices for TEC are located in a 56,000 square footfacility, which opened in 2014, in EastWalpole. The facility houses the TEC Campus School, TEC High School and TECCA on a scenic 8 acrecampus overlooking the Neponset River and offers students amenities including a therapeutic indoorpool, accessible playgroundand walking trails.
