JOB SUMMARY: The Integrated Services Specialist serves individuals/families through assessment, and intake, completing applications, collecting necessary documentation for various programs, and utilization and development of community resources. Performs computer and program functions in accordance with requirements and generally accepted office practices. Provide support to all programs at assigned location.


MAJOR TASKS
:

  • Respond to phone inquiries, greet visitors, and answer questions from clients in the office.
  • Complete intake, assessments, and applications with individuals for various programs and assist individuals/families with documentation requirements to determine eligibility.
  • Assist individuals/families with accessing resources and programs to meet needs, remove barriers and provide access to programs.
  • Perform clerical duties for program such as, but not limited to updating community resources, maintaining applications, eligibility resources and organizing materials, records, and documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of community resources.
  • Serve as a liaison within JFCAC departments for purposes of referral, coordination of services, and elimination of duplication.
  • Maintain program reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with mentoring and training volunteers, interns, WIOA workers and new coworkers.
  • Work with groups and attend meetings to nurture partnership in community.
  • Attend and assist in recruitment events of program participants.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED. College degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience in related field such as working with elderly, disabled, and/or low-income individuals preferred.


OTHER REQUIRED CAPABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with diverse participants, including those in high stress situations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Maintain high level of client confidentiality.
  • May be required to travel in or out of community with own transportation.
  • May be required to work outside of normal business hours for special projects. (e.g. early mornings, evenings, and weekends)
  • May be required to lift and transport program supplies.
  • Team player.
  • Positive attitude.
