Job Purpose: Work with youth and their families to address mental health/trauma related issues with the goal of resolving family system issues and reducing involvement in the juvenile justice system.
Primary Duties:
- Assist families and their team in identifying, recruiting and engaging natural supports to develop a child and family team
- Consult with the probation officer and child and family team as identified by the family
- Attend child and family team meetings for updates and further planning
- Assist teams in identifying strengths and needs and establishing goals
- Provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of individualized plans
- Define a safety plan to address behavioral escalations if needed
- Assist the family in preparing a meeting outline/agenda with the family; goals, child/family strengths, concerns, barriers to reaching goals, etc.
- Provide monthly progress reports to probation which outlines level of engagement and progress made by the family.
- Provide individual counseling to the youth using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Provide Family Therapy using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Provide training to the parents using the Triple P curriculum
- Ensure all required confidentiality and other compliance documents are current
- Educate families, providers and the community regarding the In-Home Intense Program
- Complete all required documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Licensing Requirements:
- Minimum: Bachelors’ Degree in Social Work or other Human Services field
- Desired: Previous case management experience in social services and/or child welfare. Previous individual/family therapy experience
- Miscellaneous: Pass all pre-employment drug screens, background clearances, and maintain driving clearances. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of families including some evenings and occasional weekend hours. Required to work in clients’ homes and community settings. Required travel to sites throughout identified service area
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, organized, detail oriented, basic computer skills, excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
