JOB TITLE: Intake Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Program Director

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for maintaining the safety of residents and facility and provide understanding and direction to the clients in the program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Able to build relationships with other agencies

* Ability to monitor client medication

* Responsible for all high school & GED referrals

* Administer ASI-MV

* Will perform such administrative duties as may be required by Director

* Conduct screening, interview, intake and assessments

* Maintain Electronic Medical Records

* Provide residents with a 15 day review

* Conduct life skills and room inspections

* Must be able to perform all of the tasks of the counselors

* Ensure that the program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies

* Provide crisis intervention when necessary

* Ability to perform shift change and medication log

REQUIREMENTS:

* Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and/or life experience equal to five years of public

and business administration, psychology, social science or related fields.

* Must have effective speaking and writing skills

* Three years in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse

* Knowledge of laws governing confidentiality and rules of ethical behavior

* If in recovery from alcohol/other substances must have two year of continuous sobriety

* Must meet Massachusetts CORI requirements

DESIRED SKILLS:

* Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs

* Must be a team player and work well in a challenging environment

* Knowledge of or desire to learn Motivational Interviewing Skills

* CPR certification and Nasal Narcan training

SCHEDULE:

Days – 7:00am-3:30pm
