General Summary:
Intake Coordinator will assist patients with the registration and admissions process at our clinic, which includes recording information and obtaining medical histories. They are also responsible for answering incoming calls, verifying health insurance data, and performing clerical work, such as filing and faxing. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for helping to set up initial appointments and follow ups as needed.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Intake Coordinator will assist patients with the registration and admissions process at our clinic, which includes recording information and obtaining medical histories. They are also responsible for answering incoming calls, verifying health insurance data, and performing clerical work, such as filing and faxing. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for helping to set up initial appointments and follow ups as needed.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Completing all admissions paperwork, review for accurate completion and entering it digitally
- Verifying medical insurance coverage and benefits for each patient
- Welcoming patients to the facility
- Maintaining schedules and changes in the EHR
- Schedule appointments for intake and follow up as needed
- Answer phone and email inquiries
- Interface with patients about complaints or concerns and alert Operations Manager/Clinical Director to said concerns.
- Perform clerical work such as filing, copying and faxing
- Prepare and maintain patient charts with required information and alerts
- Comply with the regulations and policies of the facility
- Participate in team meetings
- Collect and manage patient copays
- May aid in training front end staff when needed
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years' experience in patient intake or medical office administration.
- Strong affinity for customer service.
- Proven work experience as an Intake Coordinator or similar role.
- Working knowledge of the health insurance verification process.
- Working knowledge of office management and filing systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
